What the client wanted
The client had a new build home and wanted solar built into the roof. They wanted a clean finish that looked like part of the building rather than panels bolted on top.
What we did
In-roof solar means the panels are integrated directly into the roof structure in place of tiles, rather than mounted on a frame above them. For a new build it makes a lot of sense, you're already paying for the roof, so the panels replace the tiles rather than sitting on top of them, which brings the overall cost down.
We designed and installed the full in-roof system, working alongside the build programme to make sure the installation tied in with the rest of the roof work. The finished result sits flush with the roofline and generates power from day one.
Outcome
A clean, integrated solar installation that generates electricity from the roof without changing the look of the property.
